- A body of a 6 year old baby girl was discovered on Thursday floating along River Kipsangui in Likuyani Sub County.
According to Soy Assistant Chief, Cornelius Luseno, the deceased went missing from their Mawe Tatu home while playing in their compound and it is suspected she was defiled before being murdered and her n3k3d body dumped in the river.
Her body was discovered by a group of boys who had gone to bath in the river. The boys saw a floating shoe and rushed to inform a herder who noticed the body on the other side from where they were.
Luseno added that the body had visible injuries on the head and on the private parts, a confirmation that she was defiled first before being murdered.
The body was taken to Chebaiywa mortuary in Uasin Gishu County as investigations into the incident commence.
