Why half of a yellow sun is the best nollywood movie ever

I am sure most you have had of the nollywood hit movie "half of a yellow sun" the movie was Based on the novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche written and directed by Biyi Bandele,
Weaving together the lives of four people swept up in the turbulence of war. Olanna (Newton) and Kainene (Rose) are glamorous twins from a wealthy Nigerian family.

Returning to a privileged city life in newly independent 1960s Nigeria after their expensive English education, the two women make very different choices. Olanna shocks her family by going to live with her lover, the “revolutionary professor” Odenigbo (Ejiofor) and his devoted houseboy Ugwu (Boyega) in the dusty university town of Nsukka; Kainene turns out to be a fiercely successful businesswoman when she takes over the family interests, and surprises herself when she falls in love with Richard (Mawle) an English writer. Preoccupied by their romantic entanglements, and a betrayal between the sisters, the events of their life loom larger than politics. However, they become caught up in the events of the Nigerian civil war, in which the lgbo people fought an impassioned struggle to establish Biafra an independent republic, ending in chilling violence which shocked the entire country and the world.
A sweeping romantic drama, HALF OF A YELLOW SUN takes the sisters and their lovers on a journey through the war which is powerful, intensely emotional and, as the response of readers around the world has shown, it is a story which can touch everyone’s heart.

Now this movie have been premiered in most of the big cities including NYC at the africanfilmfest and was sold out in just hours.

The movie had a budget of 10million dollars,  featuring the best of the nollywood actors and actress also award winners chiwetel ejiofor and THandie newton. For now you can only watch the movie at cinemas across the country and also in NYC.
Anyways that's that lets move on to the reason why it's the best nollywood movie ever, I am sure by now I don't have to spell it out you already know what's involved in the movie so far and that should ring a bell "the budget, actors, actresses producer, writer" they are all of high quality. There are  no other nollywood movies that can beat this movie first the quality of the movie is so great, talking of the outstanding imaging everything looks so vibrant and colorful, the first time I saw the trailer I could not believe my eyes I was like wow is this really a nollywood movie!!!.

Secondly the staging, when you're watching the movie you will  see that everything seems so really and realistic, the look of the movie will really take you back to those days with their colorful outfits and makeups. I am sure when you first saw the movie you will be like where did they act this movie😱 but believe me all those thing you see the buildings, the cars are all part of staging.

Chiwetel Ejiofor in a film still from "Half of a Yellow Sun" ©Slate Films by monterey media, via Flickr  The story line is also a bomb, you should agree with me on this one most nollywood movies especially if it's a love movie goes like this " staring Ini Edo , Ramsey Noah and Uche jumbo in Love Of My Life, Ini, Uche and Ramsey are going to the same university Ramsey is dating Uche and scrolling Ini while Uche loves Ramsey she later finds out Ramsey is scrolling Ini" how do you think this movie will end? I'll leave that to you guys to figure out because if you really watch nollywood love movies you definitely will know how it will end...now let's look at 'half of a  yellow sun' it a love story but mixed with war just to spice things up not that the movie just have one story line like the one I illustrated about earlier. If you don't agree with on this point you probably have watch too much of nollywood movies 😉
In concussion I finally feel like  nollywood is finally coming out of the closet I just hope they keep it up.

Have you seen the movie? Tell us how good it is
