Toke Makinwa On Moments With MO...Argues She Would Sell Her Engagement Ring If....

Toke Makinwa was on moments with MO on Wednesday January 15,2014 and the show aired from 9pm-10pm….The focus of the programme was on single versus married woman and the stigma of being engaged for too long.

This was recorded before Toke's split with Maje Akida her on and off boo for 8 years and some.

Toke argues that she would not return her engagement ring if her 8 year old engagement does not take her to the altar. She says she would rather give it to a jeweller to turn it into earrings than return it because she worked hard all those years for it. So is her ring now her party earrings?  

The other ladies Dolapo.Adora and Bolanle however disagree with her and were of the opinion that it would be better to return the ring.

Now,lets get interactive….Toke might have been the subject but this was not entirely about her…a lot of ladies out there are wearing rings as old as their ancestors…engagement rings oh!

I know someone who was engaged for a decade and one day called me up to ask me if i knew anyone that wanted to buy an engagement ring...she ended up selling it to another lady i know who wore it to pose that her boo wants to put a ring on it......hmmm,the stigma of being single for too long comes into play here.

Ladies now engage themselves because they are tired of people asking them when they will get married.

When the engagement lingers for too long,they break up with themselves and move on to the next lie to tell to avoid the label that comes with the stigma of being single for too long.

If you are a lady,would you return your ring if the relationship does not work out?would you continue wearing the ring because it is expensive (if it is expensive oh) or would you sell it and move on?

If you are a guy,what would you do if she refuses to return the expensive engagement ring you gave her after the relationship is called off?that is if the ring is expensive oh.

*I agree with Toke abet..return wetin?the guy should take a million seats.if it was me,i will sell the ring and take my friends to an expensive restaurant for dinner,we would pop champagne,fart,belch,hiccup and i will go to bed with a wicked smile playing at the corners of my lips.lol.
