He’s
one of the celebrated radio hosts on Kenyan radio, in fact if you were
to list the greatest radio hosts of our time his name won’t miss out of
the top 10 spots. He’s vibrant and his voice resonates with radio
listeners.
When
we say he’s an old hand in radio we mean exactly that. He’s worked for
KBC, Family FM, Radio 360, Citizen Radio and now Milele FM. By now you
should have figured who we’re referring to. If not, he’s the vibrant
Vincent Ateya.
After
years on air, Ateya has officially hang his mic and headphones and now
goes behind-the-scenes to make it happen from there.
Ateya made the revelation earlier this morning but assured his fans that he’s leaving them in safe hands.
“This is the day that the Lord has made....this is my last breakfast show with you on Milele FM...” Ateya wrote in part.
He added, “MUST confess you have been a blessing to me....will miss all of you but will serve you in other capacity.”
His gap will be filled by Maggie Waithera AKA Mtoto wa Kike who left
Citizen Radio for Milele FM. She starts officially on Monday alongside
Choir Master Mogaka.Ateya now goes back to his role as the Group Programmes Manager MediaMax(Radio).
